<한국중단편소설선>은 이광수(할멈), 김동인(배따라기), 유진오(창랑정기), 채만식(치숙), 정비석(성황당), 강경애(지하촌), 황순원(곡예사), 최인훈(우상의 집), 윤흥길(장마), 박완서(그 살벌했던 날의 할미꽃)등 1920년대부터 1970년대까지 한국에서 발표되었던 중단편소설들을 수록한 것이다.

This is an anthology of Korean fiction translated into English by Suh Ji-Moon. It features works written between the 1920s and the 1970s, including  “Halmeom” (Yi Kwang-Su), “The Seaman’s Chant” (Kim Dong-in), “The Clear Water Pavilion” (Yu Chin-O), “My Idiot Uncle” (Chae Man-Sik), “A Ceremony of Apostasy” (Jeong Bi-seok), “The Underground Village” (Kang Kyung-ae), “Pierrot” (Hwang Sun-Won), “My Idol’s Abode” (Choi In-hun), “The Rainy Spell” (Yun Heunggil), and “A Pasque-Flower on That Bleak Day” (Park Wansuh).
