Book Donation Request
Since 2021, the LTI Korea Library has been providing translated titles of Korean literature to members who have signed a Hub-library agreement in order to support events related to Korean literature.
From 2022, the membership program has been restructured to institutional membership, expanding the scope of the provision services to various institutional members interested in Korean literature.
ELIGIBILITY
- Institutes registered as institute members on LTI Korea website with approval from LTI Korea
Application Period
- We accept applications between April and October each year. Since we approve applications as they come in and have a limited budget, we recommend applying early.
- Please note that applications may be submitted starting in March, even though the official support period runs from April to October.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Overseas institutions that require translated titles of Korean literature to host events related to Korean literature
- Institutes that need translated titles of Korean literature for research purposes
- Overseas libraries in Korea and overseas that need to acquire translated titles of Korean literature
* Each institution can receive up to 50 books per year
* Maximum 2 copies per title can be requested
* Some books may not be available for request depending on the inventory level.
(Especially books by Han Kang are available in limited quantities to overseas institutions ONLY)* For large book orders, your institution might need to pay for shipping.
Please keep in mind that you'll be responsible for any customs fees or charges - these won't be covered by LTI Korea.* Donated books may need to be labeled as "Donated by LTI Korea" and may require usage documentation, such as photos, upon request.
* The list of donated books is primarily based on titles supported by the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea).
Not all translated works introduced in the Digital Library are eligible for donation.
However, in the case of older publications, some titles not supported by LTI Korea may be included.* The sale of donated books or any activities intended to generate profit from the donated materials are strictly prohibited.
