The theme of _List Vol. 4 is “100 Years of Korean Manhwa.” Under the subthemes “100 Years of Korean Manhwa,” “Young Artists Face New Challenges,” “Web Scrolling Korean Style,” “Manhwa Meets History and Martial Arts,” and “Educational Manhwa Makes Learning Fun,” this issue examines the implications for the expansion of Korean manhwa’s influence around the world while tracing back its history and assessing its current state. In addition, this issue features interviews with novelist Shin Kyung-sook and poet Hwang Tong-gyu, Korean publishing trends, coverage of the acceptance of Korean literature overseas, a spotlight on a literary site, and book reviews of fiction/nonfiction/children’s literature and introduces steady sellers, publishers, and trends in Korean literature to overseas readers.
