This is a cover feature essay and illustration for KLN Vol. 61. Writer Shin Yoo Jin discusses the task of translation that human translators should contemplate on in the advent of AI. Likening the task of Hermes to the work of a translator, she explains translating in a “language with a voice, a thinking language, a creative language, a contemplating language” to deliver the work of a writer to the readers.
