The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) provided support for the "The 1st Korean Poetry Night” hosted by Dankook University's Institute of Asian and American Studies. Poets Kim Kwang-kyu, Kim Hye-soon, Moon Chung-hee, Chong Hyon-jong, Cho Jeonggwon, Choi Dong-ho, Choi Seung-Ho, and Hwang Ji-U participated in the event held at the Museum of Korean Literature in Jangchung-dong at 5:30 pm on November 5, 2004. At this event, eight Korean poets read their works in Korean as Spanish-speaking readers recited the same poems that had been translated into Spanish. This was the first event to introduce Korean poetry to Spanish-speaking readers in Korea, and more than 130 people attended the event.
