KLN is published and distributed for the purpose of generating a discourse on Korean literature and introducing Korean writers and works to general readers and experts overseas. The theme of KLN Vol. 49 is Distance from Others, Contact. In the current pandemic era, we’ve become used to ‘distance from others’ symbolized by ‘masks’ and ‘social distancing’. Amid the reversal of relationship taking place between ‘contact’ and ‘untact’, the sense of distance from others has changed significantly. KLN Vol. 49 addresses this issue and considers how social distance and relationships are represented and described in literature.
