KLN is published and distributed for the purpose of generating a discourse on Korean literature and introducing Korean writers and works to general readers and experts overseas. The theme of KLN Vol. 45 is Bapsang. Just as we cannot resist gravity, it’s an undeniable fact that we must eat in order to survive—an inevitable limitation for all humans. In everyday life, “Bapsang” is where the body becomes nourished. In literature, however, it gives rise to thoughts that shackle us. This issue explores that aspect of life in Korean literary works.
