Plot
Beobun became a monk after his father was executed during the Korean War and his mother ran away from home. After listening to a sermon from the Venerable Jiam, he wanders around the country. In the meantime, he meets Jisan, who is an apostate monk, and they stay at the hermitage at Mount Odae together. Sometime later, Jisan gets drunk one day and freezes to death on his way back to the hermitage. This incident helps Beobun to realize that the true way to salvation is to save pitiful humankind and return to lay life.
