Born in 1980 in Seoul, Yoo Heekyoung is a Korean poet, playwright and planner. He studied Creative Writing and Playwriting at Seoul Institute of the Arts and Korea National University of Arts. He debuted as a playwright in 2007 when his play was selected for the Seoul Theater Festival. In 2008, he won the Chosun Ilbo New Writer’s Contest for his poems. He is the author of the poetry collections Words of This Morning, Your Place: How To Grow into a Tree, God to Us Briefly, and Us Next Spring; and the prose collection Sparkling Words of the Night. He has received a number of awards including the Hyundae Literary Award.

시인, 극작가, 기획자. 1980년 서울에서 태어나 서울예술대학과 한국예술종합학교에서 문예창작과 극작을 공부했다. 2007년 서울연극제에 장막희곡이, 2008년 조선일보 신춘문예에 시가 당선되며 본격적인 창작 활동을 시작했다. 시집으로 『오늘 아침 단어』, 『당신의 자리-나무로 자라는 방법』, 『우리에게 잠시 신이었던』, 『이다음 봄에 우리는』, 산문집 『반짝이는 밤의 낱말들』 등을 펴냈다. 현대문학상 등을 수상한 바 있다.
