詩を、わけても時調のような定型詩を日本語に移しかえるということは至難の業であります。それを、これほど秀麗な詩語で翻訳しえたことは、歌人・広岡冨美ならではのことでしょう。

This anthology features modern and contemporary Korean sijo (traditional three-verse Korean poetry) selected by the translator Fumi Hirooka. Born into a Japanese family who lived in Korea during the Japanese colonial period, Hirooka lived in Korea until the age of 15 and attended the Pohang Girls’ High School. The translations were accomplished with the assistance of Yi Taegeuk, the founder of Sijomunhak (시조문학 Sijo literature).

한국의 근현대 시조를 역자 히로오카 후미(廣岡富美)가 선정하여 수록한 시집. 히로오카는 일제강점기 식민자 딸로서 조선에서 15살까지 살고 포항여자고등학교를 다녔다. 번역은 <시조문학> 창간자 이태극(李泰極)의 도움으로 이루어졌다.
