1996년에 출간된 은희경의 첫 소설집이다. 표제작을 비롯하여 <그녀의 세 번째 남자>, <연미와 유미>, <짐작과는 다른 일들>, <열쇠>등 모두 9편의 작품이 수록되어 있다. 작가는 현대사회에서 소통의 어려움으로 고통받는 사람들과 사랑에 실패한 사람들의 냉소 등 무거운 주제를 작가 특유의 경쾌한 문장으로 그려내었다.

This debut short story collection by Eun Heekyung was published in 1996. It contains a total of nine stories, including “Her Third Man,” “Yeonmi and Yumi,” “Unexpected Things,” “Key,” and the title story. With her usual light prose, the author explores heavy themes, such as the cynicism of those who have failed in love, or find it difficult to communicate in modern society.
