1922년 6월 잡지<개벽>에 발표하고, 1925년 출간된 김소월의 시집<진달래꽃>에 수록된 작품이다. 작품은 총4연(각 3행)으로 구성된 것으로 화자를 버리고 떠나는 사랑하는 님을 원망하는 마음을 노래한 시다.

Kim So-wol’s poem “Azaleas” was first published in the literary magazine Gaebyeok in 1922, and featured in his 1925 poetry collection as the title poem. Composed of four three-line stanzas, the poem is about resenting a loved one who has gone away.
