2012년 출간된 이정명의 장편소설이다. 2017년 외국인으로는 최초로 제65회 '프레미오 셀레지오네 반카렐라'상을 수상했다. 작품은 일제시기 윤동주의 시를 불태운 일본인 검열관의 미스테리한 둑음을 다루고 있다. 주인공이 일본인 검열관의 의문의 죽음을 파헤치다가 형무소를 둘러 싼 거대한 음모를 알아차리게 된다.

This novel by Lee Jung-myung was published in 2012, and was selected as one of the six finalists for the Premio Bancarella in 2017, the first time for a non-native Italian to receive such an honor. The story centers on the mysterious death of the Japanese censor who burns a book of Yoon Dongju’s poems during the time of the Japanese occupation. As the story goes into the censor’s death, a huge secret concerning the prison where Yoon Dongju was incarcerated slowly becomes revealed.
