1998년에 출간된 서정주 시집이다. '한국문학영역총서'(제3권)에 속한다. 시인은 현재에서 영원을 모색하여 이 둘이 대립하거나 갈등하는 것이 아니라 화해해야 하는 것임을 지속적으로 탐구해왔다. 현재에서 영원을 찾아가는 과정의 어려움과 영원은 멀리 있는 것이 아니라 가까이 있는 것임을 깨달아 가는 과정을 시로 만들었다.

Published in 1998, this collection of Seo Jeong-ju’s poems is the third book in the Korean Literary Works Series in English translation. The poet continues his exploration of the relationship between the present and eternity. He believes they are not in conflict with or opposition to one another; rather, he believes they must be reconciled. In his poems, he shares his trials as he searches for eternity in the present, and he conveys his realization that eternity is not far away; it has always been close to us.
