Plot

Including the titular short story, “Naneun pyeonuijeome ganda (I Go to the convenience store,” “Jongi mulggogi (Paper Fish),” and “Nokeuhaji anneun jip (No knocking house),” this short story collection portrays the dignified and courageous main characters who do not succumb to poverty nor pity themselves in a cheerful style and a new perspective on tragedy.

This is Kim Ae-ran's first short story collection, published in 2005. A total of nine stories feature protagonists who have been wounded by the absence of family, poverty, and other difficulties in life, learning the value of self-affirmation.

2005년에 출간된 김애란의 첫 소설집이다. 가족의 부재와 가난 등으로 상처입은 주인공들이 자기긍정의 가치를 만들어가는 이야기를 9편의 단편에 담았다.
