The Literature Translation Institute of Korea held an international academic symposium from December 10 to 13, 2002 at Seoul National University’s Hoam Faculty House. The symposium, held under the theme of “Korean Literature for the World,” was divided into four sections, following keynote speeches by Lee O-young, the former minister of Culture and Education of Korea, and Anatoli Kim, a Korea-Russian writer. The themes of the four sections were “Translation of Literature,” “Overseas Acceptance-Reading Korean Literature,” ”Identity and Universality of Literature,” and “Policy on the Introduction of Korean Literature Overseas>.

한국문학번역원은 2002년 12월 10일부터 13일까지 서울대 호암교수회관에서 국제 학술 심포지엄을 개최하였다. <세계를 향한 한국문학>이라는 주제로 한 이번 심포지엄은 이어령 전문화부 장관과 재러 소설과 아나톨리 김의 기조 강연에 이어 4개 분과로 나누어져 진행되었다. 4개 분과의 주제는 <문학의 번역>, <해외수용-한국문학 읽기>, <문학의 정체성과 보편성>, <한국문학 해외소개 정책>이다.
