Yi Ju-hong (1906-1987) is a South Korean children’s writer. He made his debut in 1926 when he published the children’s story “Baemsaekkiui mudo” (뱀새끼의 무도 Dance of a Young Snake) in Sinsonyeon. He actively published his works, including the short story “Ganan-gwa sarang” (가난과 사랑Poverty and Love) in the Chosun Ilbo in 1929 and the short story “Wangusang” (완구상 Toy Shop) in Chosun Munhak in 1937. Yi wrote children’s stories and young adult books with popular characteristics, such as humor, wit, and satire, based on reality.

이주홍(1906~1987)은 한국의 동화작가다. 1926년 <신소년>에 동화 <뱀새끼의 무도>발표하며 작품활동을 시작했다. 1929년 《조선일보》에 단편소설 <가난과 사랑>, 1937년 <조선문학>에 단편<완구상> 등 활발하게 작품을 발표했다. 작가는 동화와 소년소설에서 사실성을 기저로 한 해학과 기지, 풍자 등 대중적 성격을 지닌 작품을 썼다. 


李周洪(1906-1987)，韩国童话作家。1926年在《新少年》发表童话《幼蛇的舞蹈》（《뱀새끼의 무도》），从此开始创作活动。1929年在《朝鲜日报》发表短篇作品《贫穷与爱情》（《가난과 사랑》），1937年在《朝鲜文学》发表短篇作品《玩具商》（《완구상》），展开了旺盛的创作活动。其童话和青少年小说十分大众化，在写实基础上融合了诙谐、机智和讽刺。
