Hong Seokjung is a North Korean novelist. He is the grandson of novelist Hong Myunghee and is known to have edited the last part of Hong Myunghee's novel Imkkeokjeong (임꺽정). Published in 2002, his novel Hwangjini (황진이) won the Manhae Literature Prize in 2004 in Korea.

홍석중은 북한의 소설가다. 소설가 홍명희의 손자이며, 홍명희의 장편소설 《임꺽정》의 마지막 부분을 손질했다고 알려져 있다. 2002년에 소설 《황진이》를 출간하여 2004년 한국에서 만해문학상을 수상하였다.

洪锡中，北朝鲜小说家。小说家洪明熙的孙子。据说洪明熙的小说《林巨正》（《임꺽정》/对外贸易教育出版社，1988）的结尾部分是由其整理的。2002年推出了小说作品《黄真伊》（《황진이》），2004年在韩国获万海文学奖。
