This anthology contains 58 folktales and legends, including “Malhaneun geobuk” (말하는 거북 Talking tortoise), published in Hangugui jeonseol (한국의 전설 Legends of Korea, 1972) curated by Park Yeongjun, as well as 15 sijo (traditional three-verse Korean poetry), including the anonymous work titled “Byeogodong simeun tteuseun” (벽오동(碧梧桐) 심은 뜻은 The meaning of planting a blue paulownia tree).

박영준이 엮은 『한국의 전설』(1972)에 수록된 「말하는 거북」 등 58편의 민담·전설과 작자미상의 「벽오동(碧梧桐) 심은 뜻은」을 비롯한 15편의 시조가 번역되어 있다.
