Na Tae Joo lahir di Korea Selatan pada 1945. Beliau memenangkan Kontes Sastra Seoul Newspaper pada 1971, lalu menerbitkan buku kumpulan puisi pertamanya yang berjudul Under the Bamboo Forest. Sampai saat ini, Na Tae Joo terus menerbitkan buku kumpulan puisi, kumpulan prosa, dan kumpulan cerita anak-anak. Beliau juga mendapatkan penghargaan di Korea Selatan seperti Chungcheongnam-do Cultural Award, Hyundai Buddhist Literature Award, Korean Poet Association Award, dan lain-lain. Puisi-puisinya pernah
digunakan sebagai referensi dalam drama â€œSchool 2013”, â€œEncounter”, dan â€œBeautiful Love, Wonderful Lifeâ€.
