This anthology features the major works of Kim Myeongsun, Na Hye-seok, and Kim Ilyeop, recognized as first-generation female writers and sinyeoseong (new women) during the dawn of modern Korean literature. This includes Kim Myeongsun’s “Uisimui sonyeo” (의심의 소녀 Suspicious Girl), which comprises three short stories that reflect intense feminist reflections.

한국 근대문학이 태동하던 시기, 신여성이자 1세대 여성작가로 불리던 김명순, 나혜석, 김일엽의 대표작을 모아 놓은 선집이다. 김명순의 「의심의 소녀」를 비롯하여 치열한 페미니즘적 고민을 담은 단편소설 세 편을 만나볼 수 있다.
