Plot

Kim Hyeongtae, who made a fortune by selling birch trees, contributes to the village in various ways and comes to wield a great influence. He also takes a beautiful woman from Seoul as his second wife and leads a life envied by others. Then one day, a rumor spreads that some sort of tryst is taking place between his son Jaesu and his second wife.

Lee Hyoseok mainly wrote works depicting the problems of love and lust between a man and a woman, set in a rural background. This work of fiction is considered one of the stories that shows Lee Hyoseok's interest in sexuality.
