Plot

This is a story about the relationship between a man and a woman who are about to wed. Although it is a simple episode that takes place in a single day, the focus of the story is on a woman surnamed named Yim, and her love and affection for two men—Yun and the narrator.

Along with “Wings” and “Dying Words,” this story is considered one of Yi Sang’s trilogy. The title Child’s Bone (童骸) can be interpreted in many ways.

1937년 2월 『조광』에 발표된 단편소설이다. <날개>, <종생기>와 더불어 이상 소설의 삼부작 중 하나로 평가된다. '아이의 해골'이라는 뜻을 가진 제목 <동해(童骸)>는 이 밖에도 여러 가지 방식으로 해석될 여지가 있다.
