This work was nominated for the 6th Akutagawa Prize in 1940. It focuses on the problem of “mixed” people in the relationship between Japan and Korea during the Japanese colonial period, and depicts Korean intellectuals struggling with contempt and oppression of Koreans by Japanese.

이 작품은 1940년 제6회 아쿠다가와상의 후보작에 오른 작품이다. 일제강점기 일본과 한국의 관계 속에서 '혼혈'의 문제를 다루고, 민족적 멸시와 억압에서 허덕이는 지식인의 모습을 다루고 있다.
