Plot

Bora’s aunt, who is a single mother, comes to her middle school as a student teacher. Bora goes to school, pretending as if nothing is wrong. But when someone posts a picture of Bora’s aunt and her child on the school’s internet community, the school asks her to stop teaching classes. Meanwhile, violence breaks out in the school club that Bora's friend Eunha is in, and this incident leads to Eunha running away from home. Amidst various incidents, Bora and her friends try to deal with their problems in their own ways.

This is a novel by I Hyeon, published in 2007. Mainly set in a middle school, this novel addresses issues of violence in school, club activities, running away from home, and single mothers. In addition, this work gained readers’ sympathy through the vivid portrayal of middle school students communicating with others, such as their friends and student-teachers, and dealing with various issues at school from their own perspectives.

2007년에 출간된 이현의 장편소설이다. 작품은 중학교를 주요 배경으로 학내의 폭력문제, 동아리 활동, 가출, 비혼모 문제 등을 다루고 있다. 또한 작가는 작품의 주요 인물들인 중학생들이 친구들, 교생선생님 등 타인과 소통하는 모습, 그리고 학교에서 일어난 여러가지 사건들을 그들만의 시각으로 풀어나가는 모습을 생생한 언어로 묘사하여 공감을 받았다.
