2006년에 출간된 김현정의 영화소설이다. 2005년에 동명의 제목으로 상영된 영화를 소설로 묶었다. 영화 시나리오와 시놉시스를 토대로 재구성하였다. 조선의 연산군 시대의 광대 공길의 예술과 사랑에 관한 이야기다.

This is the novel version of the movie The King and the Jester, which was released in 2005. The novel was written by Kim Hyeonjeong and published in 2006. The story is set in the time of Yeonsan-gun’s reign, with Gonggil the court jester as the main character.
