2013년에 출간된 황동규 시인의 열다섯 번째 시집이다. 표제시인 <사는 기쁨>을 포함하여 모두 55편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 시인은 인생의 마지막이 가까워오는 시점에서, 오랜 세월을 통해 경험한 경이로운 생의 면모를 시로 형상화한다. 자신의 늙어버린 처지에 대해 이야기하면서도 명랑함을 잃지 않으며 생의 기쁨에 대한 메시지를 담아두었다.

Published in 2013, this fifteenth collection of poems by Hwang Tong-gyu introduces 55 of his poems including the title poem “The Joy of Living.” Facing his impending death, the poet celebrates his awe of and respect for life, and even as he describes his old age, he does not lose his sense of humor and delivers a message of hope and joy.
