2000년에 출간된 김선우의 첫 시집이다. 59편의 시가 4부로 나뉘어 수록되어 있다. 이 시집은 기호와 관념으로 이루어진 언어 대신 구체적이고 정서적인 언어를 사용한다. 어머니의 늙고 병든 몸을 통해 여성의 육체적 운명에 대해서 말하고, 그것을 절실하게 표현한다. 생명성 혹은 여성성에 대해 강렬한 이미지를 드러내는 시인으로 평가된다.

Published in 2000 and divided into four parts, this first collection by Kim Sun-woo introduces 59 of her poems. Instead of abstract and symbolic expressions, the poet uses a specific and poignant language to speak of her mother’s old and aging body as the physical fate of women. Using the boldest images, she expresses in her poems the force of life and femininity.
