Plot

Seung-ja is a boy who is a slow speaker and not good at school, so he doesn't have friends nor receive much attention. One day, he hears the music of Russian rock singer Viktor Choi, who died in August 1990, and his life begins to change little by little.

This is a novel by Kang Byoung-yoong, published in 2018. It originally began as a short story “Allyuminum oi (Aluminum cucumber),” published in 2013, which was revised and expanded into a novel. Using the legendary Russian singer Viktor Choi as the motif, this work depicts the process of a young Korean man making a self- discovery.

2013년에 발표한 <알루미늄 오이>를 개정하여 2018년에 출간한 강병융의 장편소설이다. 러시아의 전설적인 가수 빅또르 최를 모티프로 한국에서 태어난 청년이 자아를 찾아가는 과정을 그린 작품이다.
