조선시대 후기인 1833년~1842년에 편저자 이희준에 의해 제작된 문헌설화집으로, 6권 6책으로 구성되어 있다. 권1부터 권6까지는 문학적 성격이 높은 이야기들로 구성되어 있고 나머지는 명사들의 일화들이 기록되어 있다. 일화의 출처를 밝히고 있지만 상당수가 잘못된 것으로 알려져 있다.

This collection of folk tales was compiled from 1833 to 1842 during the late Joseon dynasty and published by Yi Huijun . The book is divided into six volumes with literary stories and life episodes of famous figures. The book cites its sources, but many have been found to be erroneous.
