This is a collection of poems written about love, sadness, and sorrow after the death of the author’s wife. Unlike other poetry collections written by the poet, this book is unique in that the starting point for these poems is personal emotions.

2001년에 출간된 김춘수의 시집이다. 대치동의 여름, 흔적, 상하좌우 등의 작은 표제로 나누어 시인이 세상을 떠난 시인의 아내에게 보내는 시편들을 수록했다. 시인이 아내가 세상을 떠난 후 사랑과 슬픔, 비애를 기록한 시들로, 시인의 다른 시집들과 달리 개인적인 감정에서 출발한 시집이라는 점이 특징적이다.
