1995년 출판된 단편소설집이다. 표제작인 <푸른 사과가 있는 국도>와 데뷔작인 <1988년의 어두운 방>를 포함하여 총 7편의 작품이 실려 있다. 변화하지 않는 따분한 일상을 살아가며 현재에 만족하는 인물들을 주로 다루고 있다. 그러나 그들은 한편으로 존재론적 외로움을 간직하고 있다. 신세대의 의식과 감수성을 보여준다는 평을 받는다.

This short story collection by Bae Su-ah was published in 1995. It contains a total of seven short stories, including the title story and the author’s debut work, “A Dark Room in 1988.” The characters who feature in the collection are satisfied with their lives – which, though dull, are stable and unchanging – yet remain lonely at the existential level. The stories have received praise for their depiction of the mindset and sensibility of the contemporary generation.
