On June 28, 2020, an event entitled “Reading Lee Chang-dong: Online Reading of the short story collection Soji (소지 Burning Paper)” was held at the OWSpace in Dongfeng, Beijing. The event included a conversation between the writer and a moderator involved in local literary business about the writer and his works, as well as a reading of the works by professional readers and a performance. About 630,000 people participated in the event through the local online platform.
