“Diaspora Literature in Your Room” is an online event designed to raise interest in Korean diasporas among Korean readers by transforming the works of diaspora literature into visual arts and performing arts contents. Cho Haejin’s novel Simple Truths is transformed into a short film in “Simple Truths – An Encounter Between Novel and Film.” Actor Lee Seung-yeon, who played an active role in the film House of Hummingbird (2019, directed by Kim Bo-ra), plays the lead role of “Nana,” and the author Cho Haejin makes a cameo appearance.
