    This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kim Insuk, produced for literary events at the Guadalajara International Book Fair and a nearby university. Between November 25 and December 2, Kim Insuk participated in literary events at the Guadalajara International Book Fair and University of Guadalajara, where she gave a presentation titled “Together with Cats…”, engaged in discussion with literary researchers and answered questions from readers. In addition, she visited Instituto Alberici where she gave a joint reading with students and discussed her writing. She was interviewed by the local media outlets Milenio and Mural about her work That Woman’s Autobiography. This 43-page booklet consists of: “Greetings”, “Author’s Literary World”, “Excerpt”, “Essay”, “Voices of the Author and Critics”, “Biography” and “Bibliography”.

    This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kim Insuk, produced for the 2014 London Book Fair Korea Market Focus. Kim Insuk participated in the literary seminar “Writing Home: Migrant Literature” (April 9, Whitehall Room), where she discussed how national and personal identity endured in foreign and faraway lands, and explored Korea’s relationship with the rest of the world through literary portrayals of Korean emigrants. In addition, she read from and discussed her novel The Long Road at Edinburgh Central Library on April 10. This 20-page booklet consists of: “About the Author”, “About the Work” and “Excerpts”. The excerpts are taken from Sohyeon and The Long Road.

    The theme of _List Vol. 14 is “Spotlight on Korean Pop Culture.” Under five subthemes “redefining the Korean Wave,” “a new digital paradigm,” “from paper to screen and back to paper,” “from beloved Korean pop to K-pop,” and “Korean films that created the Korean Wave,” this issue introduces educational entertainment, games, television dramas, and K-Pop, which have spearheaded the surge of the Korean Wave. In addition, this issue features interviews with novelists Yi Mun-yol and Kim Insuk, Korean publishing trends, coverage of the acceptance of Korean literature overseas, a spotlight on a literary site, book reviews of fiction/nonfiction/children’s literature, and the translation of Jung Young Moon’s short story “Together with a Chicken” and introduces steady sellers, publishers, and trends in Korean literature to overseas readers.

    The theme of _List Vol. 24 is “Transnationalism in Korean Literature.” Starting with this issue, _List has been revamped to include more works of Korean literature and current issues through a section on Featured Writers, relevant events, book reviews, and excerpts. This issue includes an interview with the Featured Writer Bok Geo-il, an essay on his world of works, as well as his works that have been published in Korea and abroad. In addition, it introduces LTI Korea’s projects, such as the 2014 London Book Fair, the 2014 Seoul International Writers’ Festival, and the Korean Literature Essay Contest, and analyzes the trend in the publishing industry. It also features reviews of nine translated works of Korean literature, translated excerpts from nine Korean fiction, and translations of three poems in English.
