This is an introductory booklet on Shin Kyeong-nim, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. The author participated in the main program in October and literary events in March. This 17-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Poetry Excerpts’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by the literary critic Hong Yong-hee, and translated by Yoon Il-sook. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. The booklet contains eight poems including ‘The Silhouettes of My Mother and Grandmother’ translated into German. He participated in literary events in Leipzig and Dresden (March) and at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Darmstadt Gallery (October). Several of his works have been published in German including: The Silhouettes of My Mother and Grandmother (2003) and Farmers’ Dance (2005).

He attended literary events in Leipzig, Jena (March), Berlin (September) and at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion, the Frankfurt House of Literature, and the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt (FFF) in October. The German translation of his poetry collection The Island was published in 1996.

He participated in literary events in Hamburg in May and at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Museum Angewandte Kunst in October. As one of the 12 Masters of Korean Literature, he was introduced at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion—with a large photograph and a list of his major works and translated titles. Several of his works have been published in German including: Wind Burial (1996), Flower’s Silence (2015), and A Winter Night at 00:05 Hours (2015).

This is an introductory booklet on poet Hwang Tong-gyu, produced for the 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair. Hwang Dong-gyu participated in literary events in Literaturwerkstatt in Berlin (Oct 16) and Weltempfang at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Oct 18). On Oct 19 at Palais Fürstenberg, he gave a reading from his work Flower’s Silence, engaged in an interview, and interacted with readers. This 21-page booklet consists of: “About the Author”, “About the Work”, “About the Translators”, and excerpts from Flower’s Silence and A Winter Night at 00:05 Hours.

This is an introductory material on poet Hwang Tong-gyu, produced for the 2011 Literary Event in Australia with Korean Poets. On August 28, poet Hwang Tong-gyu participated in the small poetry reading and discussion event held at the Red Room Poetry’s Clubhouse. On August 30, he participated in a lecture on the “Trend of Korean Poetry” and held a discussion with the members of a local literary society at the Chinese restaurant Yonggung in Sydney. He also participated in the Melbourne Writers Festival on September 3 and read his works in front of an audience of about 90 people at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne. On September 4, Hwang recited his works, which was broadcast by 3RRR Radio. The 21-page information booklet consists of three sections: “About the Author,” “About the Works,” and “Excerpts.” It includes Hwang’s poems such as “Blossom,” “Port of Call,” and “Magnolia Vine Berry Liqueur.”
