    This is an introductory booklet on Kim Joo-Young, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. The author was unable to attend the events due to personal reasons. This 29-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of Stingray’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by literary scholar Kim Eun-mi, and translated by Choi Eun-ah. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee.

This 28-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of There Are No Monkeys’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by literary scholar Park Ji-hye, and translated by Kim In-gyeom. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Yun Hu-myong participated in literary events in Bonn and Düsseldorf (April) and at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Stadtbücherei Kronberg (October). His work ‘There Are No Monkeys’ is included in Am Ende der Zeit (1999) published in Germany.

The material was put together and analyzed by Kim Tae-hwan and Ko Bong-jun, and translated by Kang Yeo-Kyu. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Yi In-seong’s literary event was helpd at the Berlin House of Literature in September. The German translation of his work Into the Unfamiliar Time (German title: Jahreszeiten des Exils) was published in 2011.

Lim Chulwoo participated in literary events at the Leipzig Book Fair and the Jena History Museum in March and then at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Kunsthalle Darmstadt in October. The German translation of his short story collection published in 2003 includes ‘The Red Room’.

Choi Ihn Suk participated in literary events at the Frankfurt House of Literature and Museum for Communication Frankfurt in October. The German translation of ‘The Well of My Soul’ was published along with his other short stories in 2000.
