Junsu returns to his daily life after defecting and getting out of prison, where he was locked up due to his participation in the ideological movement. One day, when he learns that his wife Jeong-sook went for a walk and shared a meal with his colleague Junho, he becomes jealous and suspects that they’re having an affair. In response, Jeong-sook confronts him by pointing out the vanity and cowardice of those who work in cultural and social movements. On the morning of the next day, Junho suddenly comes to visit. He tells Namsu that he got a job at a newspaper company and that he will quit the publishing business he had been taking on with Namsu.
