With a great ambition, Unsim settles down in a town called Cheongshiheo in Gando. However, there is no morality to be found in the uneducated townspeople, and even young children do not understand Unsim’s teachings. Disappointed Unsim returns home. However, thinking that he has accomplished nothing in Gando, Unsim comes to see himself as a failure and gives up his ambition, becoming a paperhanger.
