2007년에 출간된 공선옥의 단편소설집이다. 표제작인 <명랑한 밤길>을 포함하여 12편의 단편소설이 수록되어 있다. 여성성이 갖는 다양한 굴절들을 섬세하게 다룬다. 낯익은 주제들을 다루면서도 그 현실들을 차갑게 비꼰다. 작품들에는 상처입은 인물들이 등장하지만 자신의 상처를 솔직하게 드러내고 그와 비슷한 처지의 사람들과 어울리며 삶의 희망을 발견해나간다.

This collection of short stories by Gong Sun-Ok was published in 2007. It contains twelve short stories, including the title story “Merrily Through the Night.” The stories deal with various refractions of femininity, and while they explore familiar themes and realities, the author gives them a savage twist. The characters in these stories are frank about their traumas and seek hope by surrounding themselves with people in similar circumstances.
