2012년에 출간된 김승희 시인의 아홉 번째 시집이다. 표제시인 <희망이 외롭다>를 포함하여 60편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 시인은 현대문명에 대한 날카로운 비판으로 문단의 주목을 끌어왔으나, 이번 시집에서는 '희망'에 대해서 말한다. 그러나 혹독한 현실 속에서는 이 '희망'조차도 외로울 수밖에 없다. 따라서 시인은 간절한 언어로 희망을 갈구하며, 조심스럽게 희망을 꺼내본다.

Published in 2012, this is the ninth collection of poems by Kim Seung-hee. It contains 60 poems, including the title poem “Hope Is Lonely”. The poet is known for her sharp criticism of modern society, but in this collection of poems she explores the theme of hope. In a harsh reality, even hope is bound to get lonely; the poet carefully draws it out, in a language of earnest desire.
