최서해가 1926년 2월 글벗집에서 발간한 첫 창작집이다. <탈출기>, <기아와 살육>, <박돌의 죽음>등 모두 10편의 작품이 수록되어 있다. 가난하고 궁핍한 현실에 저항하는 이들의 현실이 핍진하게 그려져 있다.

This debut collection of stories by Choi Seohae was published in Geulbeotjip in February 1926. It contains ten short stories that vividly portray the lives of those who resist poverty and destitution, including “Escape,” “Famine and Slaughter,” and “Bagdol’s Death.”
