최서해가 1925년 11월 <조선문단>에 발표한 수필로, 소설집<혈흔>의 서문으로 수록했다. 수필은 현실에 굴복할 수 없는 작가가 혁명과 예술을 꿈꾸는 이유를 격정적으로 설명하고 있다.

This essay by Choi Seohae was first published in November 1925 in the magazine Joseon Mundan. It was later included in the author’s eponymous collection of stories as the introductory preface. It is a passionate defense of art and revolution, and a refusal to surrender to reality.
