This is an introductory booklet on Park Wansuh, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. The author was unable to attend the events due to personal reasons 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair. As one of the 12 Masters of Korean Literature, she was introduced at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion—with a large photograph and a list of her major works and translated titles. This 29-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of Mother’s Stake’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by literary scholar Kim Seung-min, and translated by Sonja Häussler. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Her work is included in the collection of Korean short stories published by Suhrkamp in 2005.

The material was put together and analyzed by Lee Su-hyeong, and translated by Elke Golchert-Jung. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Song Sokze participated in literary events in Hamburg (May), the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Bensberg (October). Some of his short stories including ‘The Last 4.5 Seconds of My Life’ were published in German in 2009.

Kyung-sook Shin participated in literary events in Erlangen, Wien (June), Frankfurt House of Literature and Bad Homburg (October). The German translation of The Girl Who Wrote Loneliness was published by Pendragon in 2011.

This is an introductory booklet on author Song Sokze, produced for the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair. On Oct 21 in Weltempfang Hall, Song Sokze and German author Juan Guse shared a conversation on the theme of “Life Is Ridiculous” and discussed their writings and perspectives with regards to Song’s novel The Amusing Life. On Oct 24, Song participated in a literary event at Literaturwerkstatt in Berlin, where he gave a reading and engaged in a discussion. This 6-page booklet consists of: “To the Author”, “A Riverside Village”, and “Reading Samples”. The excerpt is taken from The Amusing Life.

Youn’s work ‘Cheonjigan’ was published in Hefte fuer ostasiatische Literatur 58 in 2015.

This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kyung-sook Shin produced for the 2014 London Book Fair Korea Market Focus. On April 9, in PEN Salon, Kyung-sook Shin discussed her literature with a focus on I’ll Be Right There—the English translation of which was due to be published following the success of Please Look After Mom. On April 9, in Whitehall Room, she participated in the literary seminar “Families, Relationships and Society”, where she discussed the conflict between the traditional and the modern, and space between the old and the young. On April 10, in Asia House, she discussed the impact of the partition of a country and divisions of families on society and her work. This 20-page booklet consists of: “About the Author”, “About the Work” and “Excerpts”.
