    This is an introductory booklet on Park Wansuh, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. The author was unable to attend the events due to personal reasons 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair. As one of the 12 Masters of Korean Literature, she was introduced at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion—with a large photograph and a list of her major works and translated titles. This 29-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of Mother’s Stake’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by literary scholar Kim Seung-min, and translated by Sonja Häussler. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Her work is included in the collection of Korean short stories published by Suhrkamp in 2005.

The German translation of A House on the Road was published in 2005, and won the LiBerature Award

Choe Yun participated in literary events in Cologne and Düsseldorf in April, and at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Matthäuskirche in October. The German translation of ‘There a Petal Silently Falls’ was published along with her other short stories inn 2003.

    This is a video of the 2021 Seoul International Writers' Festival Closing Keynote Speech. Under the theme of “The World Evolving through Literature,” the video was pre-filmed at Incheon International Airport and released on the website at 14:00 on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Ch’oe Yun, whose rich language conveys insight into existence, concludes the festival together with the distinguished Israeli author David Grossman. The speech was followed by a discussion moderated by Kang Yu-jung.

    This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kim Insuk, produced for literary events at the Guadalajara International Book Fair and a nearby university. Between November 25 and December 2, Kim Insuk participated in literary events at the Guadalajara International Book Fair and University of Guadalajara, where she gave a presentation titled “Together with Cats…”, engaged in discussion with literary researchers and answered questions from readers. In addition, she visited Instituto Alberici where she gave a joint reading with students and discussed her writing. She was interviewed by the local media outlets Milenio and Mural about her work That Woman’s Autobiography. This 43-page booklet consists of: “Greetings”, “Author’s Literary World”, “Excerpt”, “Essay”, “Voices of the Author and Critics”, “Biography” and “Bibliography”.

    This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kim Insuk, produced for the 2014 London Book Fair Korea Market Focus. Kim Insuk participated in the literary seminar “Writing Home: Migrant Literature” (April 9, Whitehall Room), where she discussed how national and personal identity endured in foreign and faraway lands, and explored Korea’s relationship with the rest of the world through literary portrayals of Korean emigrants. In addition, she read from and discussed her novel The Long Road at Edinburgh Central Library on April 10. This 20-page booklet consists of: “About the Author”, “About the Work” and “Excerpts”. The excerpts are taken from Sohyeon and The Long Road.
