    This is a sourcebook of reports on the results of the Seoul International Writers’ Festival 2020. Seoul International Writers’ Festival 2020 was held online from November 2 to 8, 2020, under the theme of “Writing Tomorrow.” A total of 25 writers from Korea and abroad participated in the festival, and a total of 2,894 people signed up in advance to attend. The sourcebook includes the results of the festival, information on the composition and operation of the events, information on participating writers, analytical results on surveys of participating writers and the audience, Opening and Closing Keynote Speeches, and related articles.

This is a review of the Arabic translation of Hwang Sok-yong’s Evening Star.

    This is an introductory booklet on Kim Seungok, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. The author was unable to attend the events due to personal reasons. This 25-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of Seoul Winter 1964’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ’Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by literary scholar Kim Seung-min, and translated by Cho Geum-hwan. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. His work ‘Seoul Winter 1964’ is included in the short story collection Trip to Mujin (2009) published in German by Peperkorn.

As one of the 12 Masters of Korean Literature, he was introduced at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion—with a large photograph and a list of his major works and translated titles. This 25-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of The House with a Sunken Courtyard’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by Bang Min-ho and Choi Gang-min, and translated by Choi Eun-ah. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Kim Won il participated in literary events at the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof. The German translation of The House with a Sunken Courtyard was published in Germany in 2000.

Lee Ho-cheol participated in literary events in Dresden (March), Berlin and Düsseldorf (September). His work ‘Southerners, Northerners’ was included in his short story collection of the same title published in German in 2002.
