2001년에 출간된 이호철의 단편소설집이다. 표제작인 <탈향>을 비롯하여 <오돌할멈>, <닳아지는 살들>, <이단자4>, <도주>, <이산타령 친족타령> 등 모두 15편이 수록되어 있다. 표제작인 <탈향>은 1955년7월 <문학예술>에 실린 작가의 데뷔작이다. 작가는 이 작품에서 부산을 배경으로 주인공들이 경험한 1950년의 한국전쟁을 다루고 있다. 소설집에 수록된 다른 작품들에서도 작가는 민족의 비극적인 역사와 개인으로서 경험한 상처들을 중점적으로 다루고 있다.

This short story collection by Lee Ho-cheol was published in 2001. It contains a total of fifteen stories, including “Odol’s Grandmother,” “Stripped Bare,” “The Heretic,” “The Escape,” and “Sorrow of Division, Sorrow of Separation.” The title story is the author’s debut work, published in Literary Arts in July 1955. In this story, the author describes the characters’ experiences of the Korean War in Busan. As in the rest of the collection, the author focuses on the tragic history of the nation and his own painful experiences as an individual living in Korea.
