1982년에 출간된 김지하 시인의 시선집이다. 표제시인 <타는 목마름으로>를 포함하여 65편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 시 <타는 목마름으로>는 1975년에 발표된 김지하의 대표적 참여시로, 민주주의에 대한 뜨거운 열망을 드러내는 작품이다. 이외에 수록된 시들 역시 폭압적 정치 상황 속에서도 여전히 민주주의를 기다리겠다는 시인의 신앙적 기다림의 정서가 드러난다.

This collection of poems by Kim Ji-ha was published in 1982. It is a cycle of 65 poems. The title poem was originally published in 1975 and is representative of the poet’s poetics of participation and his passionate longing for democracy. Other poems included in this collection express the poet’s fervent anticipation of democracy in an oppressive political environment.
