2007년에 출간된 현덕의 동화모음집이다. 이 동화집은 1939년 현덕이 쓴 동화 중에서 주인공이 '노마'인 40여편의 이야기를 그림작가 조미애가 그림을 붙여서 출간한 동화집이다. 작품은 소년 '노마'가 기관차, 객차, 화물차에 관심을 갖고 설계도를 찾아보고 상상하는 이야기를 중심으로 한다.

The Small Inventor is a collection of children’s stories originally written by Hyeon Deok in 1939. Published in 2007, this new edition brings together 40 stories with illustrations by Jo Mi-ae. The stories follow the adventures of Noma, a young boy whose fascination with locomotive engines, passenger trains, and freight cars leads him to search for blueprints and picture them in his imagination.
