Plot

The narrator doesn’t do anything without self-rationalization or some justification. As a result, he spends his entire life suppressing desires and impulses. Then one day, a woman who is suffering from pain and loss due to the death of her family moves into the house next door. She has a bathtub in the middle of the room, where she comforts her wounds every night. I become  attracted to her, and the two of them begin to live together.

This is a novel by Lee Seung-U, published in 2006. It depicts a man a man who leads a gloomy daily life without being able to convince himself of his existence and a woman who is helpless due to the pain of loss, and describes the process in which they accept and erase each other's wounds.

2006년에 출간된 이승우의 장편소설이다. 작품은 자기 자신에게조차 스스로의 존재를 설득시키지 못한 채 암울한 일상을 보내는 남자와 상실의 고통으로 무기력해진 여자가 서로의 상처를 받아들이고 지워나가는 과정을 그리고 있다.
